Public Safety Director David Knowles. 

 Chief Knowles has a master's degree in public administration, a bachelor's degree in business management and associate's degrees in fire science and paramedic science.

He also owns a fire suppression business that is under contract to the U.S. Forest Service.

His work experience includes being special operations coordinator for Hendry County, emergency medical services supervisor for the Lakeland Fire Department, firefighter/paramedic with Marion County and a lieutenant with the Nature Coast Emergency Medical Services in Citrus County.



 

 Levy County Emergency Medical Services is the sole provider of emergency medical care in Levy County. We provide 24/7 advanced life support services to the citizens and visitors of Levy County.

Levy County Emergency Medical Services uses aggressive ALS protocols, current technology and highly trained EMS professionals to provide  specialized emergency medical care and rapid transport to area hospitals for the citizens and visitors of Levy County.

Our newest addition to the fleet, four new units manufactured by Wheeled Coach in Orlando, Florida have been delivered. Medic 1 in Bronson, Medic 2 in Chiefland, Medic 4 in Williston  and Medic 6 in Bronson, are utilizing the new units.
